We have a room with a very tall cathedral ceiling, with a south-facing glass wall. While the room
looks very nice, the existing single glazing made it very difficult to heat in winter, and keep cool
in summer. When we asked ecoMaster to install double glazing on the whole glass wall, we
expected it to make a major difference to heat retention in winter. In fact, the installation also
made a significant difference to keeping summer heat out. In the past, if we closed all doors,
windows and blinds on a very hot day, the front of the house would be some 10 degrees cooler
than the back of the house with the cathedral ceiling and glass wall. Now, the difference has been
reduced to a couple of degrees.
The ecoGlaze team is highly professional and unusually efficient, and their product has made a
tangible difference to the comfort of our house. We are very happy to recommend them to others.

Things went very well with the installation of the insulation. We were most
impressed with the way Maurice, Steve and Tiy conducted themselves, and of course the end result. The
guys were very professional and friendly and went to great lengths to ensure that the end result was the
best it could be. One example of this was when they carried out additional and time consuming work to
ensure that the ceiling was properly sealed, thereby maximizing the benefits of the insulation.
Rhonda was also very appreciative that they laid drop sheets down the passage way and into the kitchen
thereby preventing mess spilling onto her carpet.

sustainability. The work they then subsequently did to put in insulation and
draft proofing was a very high standard of workpersonship. Staff were very

cannot speak more highly of their customer service.

Thank you so much for the great job carried out in treating the gaps and cracks and miscellaneous
insulation to our house. Thanks to John, for the initial survey and report, and to Ed, Tim and
Steve who carried out the work - all of it done in an exceptionally professional and efficient
manner, what hard workers these guys are! The post and beam construction with mostly recycled
bridge timbers certainly gave them all a challenge which they met admirably.
We are really feeling the benefits of the work, no draughts now of course which greatly improves
the heating efficiency, but also the unexpected gains of 1) much less noise intrusion, 2) no more
spiders and cobwebs, or blowflies and mozzies, and 3) no more daily film of dust over everything
blowing in from the dirt road outside.

I had to write to tell you that the work you did on our house last December 2008 worked a treat in the recent extreme hot weather. On the last day of 46 I didn't need to turn the air-onditioning on until mid afternoon, we were all quite comfortable until then, ceiling fans were enough. What a difference to last summer when we were switching the air-conditioning on when it reached into the 30's.

want to put on the record how happy we are with the recent
work done on our house by Eddy and his crew, Ilya, Jarrod and
Martin. They were extremely conscientious and seemed to take
pride in doing a great job. In addition they were a pleasure

The house feels so much more cosy and stays warmer overnight
so our heater seems to be running much less. I guess the test
will come with the first cold snap but we are are feeling like
it has been well worth the money already. As an example of the
effort made to do the best possible job, Eddy went to the trouble
of sourcing some sealers for the casement windows in brown rather
than white so he will be returning soon to fit them. We will

I would just like to let you know that after the improvements
EcoMaster made our house behaved really well during the four
and a half day heat wave that Melbourne just experienced.
The house did warm up (we didn't expect miracles!) but was
much cooler than outside until late evening. We expect it
to be even better next year when we have outside blinds on
our western windows (we also noticed that most of the heating
was due to those windows, even though the curtains were shut).
Also, when our 4 month old, was having trouble sleeping we
briefly turned on the reverse cycle air conditioner (which
came with the house - we wouldn't have installed it ourselves!)
about 6pm on the last of the hot nights and its cool stayed
in the room when the unit was switched off again - unlike
previous years. Hopefully with our blinds installed next year
we won't need the A/C at all!

The ecoShades fixed screens
have made a tremendous difference to my outdoor area in
the summer time. I can now use the outdoor area at lunchtime
in the summer - I couldn't do that before. My
home is much more comfortable too, because now the house
doesn't get so hot in the afternoon. That's
where I really notice the difference. When it was 42 degrees
outside, it was 26 degrees in the house. In the afternoon
it was too hot for the kids to play out the back, but
now they can go out there after school and play. It's
really good. |
The other thing I really like is the amount of glare that it
cuts down. The diffused light is much softer on the eyes rather
than the hard glare from the clear polycarbonate.

I have to say the concertina foil batts and polyester batts
have made a significant difference to the liveability of the
house, especially the older section, as we were able to see

The under floor insulation is fantastic - can't believe
it really - the difference seems too dramatic. To think I
would put a coat, scarf and beanie on to sit in the lounge
